Orbitsound M9 wireless soundbar pictures and hands-on

Bluetooth update of T9 model

In front of its official unveiling, Pocket-lint got a bit of hands-promptly - and, indeed, ear time - using the latest Orbitsound M9 soundbar speaker and subwoofer system.

The M9 may be the wireless update towards the T9 model which, whenever we examined it this year, we thought was small without scrimping around the seem.

The M9 develops that heritage with a few apparent changes - there's no more a wired ipod device pier, rather it's Bluetooth completely having a primary user interface on top of the soundbar unit.

The idea of Orbitsound would be to deliver what the organization calls "spatial seem" - just one point-based system that may provide the impression more-covering seem by processing the stereo system input channels and - alongside the M9 soundbar's twin 2.5-inch mid-high motorists and single 1-inch tweeter - results a good mid-range frequency from side-situated loudspeakers. It's just like a digital negative from the primary stereo system seem which eminates from all of these side loudspeakers and, due to the processing, there is a sense of space towards the seem.

There is a new digital amplifier inside which provides 200W of output. Even if cranked up, the seem remains quality and lacking of distortion - similar to its predecessor.

Around the rear from the soundbar you will find inputs for optical, AUX and three.5mm that will look after most consumer audio items and, otherwise, then Bluetooth connectivity needs no extra wires whatsoever.

The pre-production unit we had did produce audible "clicks" when firing up Bluetooth, but we are assured these happen to be ironed out for that final production models that also feature audio fade-directly into avoid any unnecessary sudden ear-bashing.

The M9's subwoofer can also be all-new. This is an active unit, not passive like this featured using the T9, featuring another analogue dial around the rear for independent volume charge of the low wavelengths. It pairs using the soundbar using 2.4GHz digital wireless and handles to provide a good 10ms delay to help keep a unified seem between it and also the soundbar. Particularly helpful in the home cinema set-up. You will find a fetching whitened Orbitsound logo design over the front from the unit.

Offered by March, the Orbitsound M9 will definitely cost ?299. It might be more expensive than its predecessor, however wireless brings the additional cost with regard to convenience. Unfortunate that there are no NFC, however, as possible check this out unit getting used for audio as much or maybe more compared to a TV.

Looks and seems like logical progression to all of us. When the 50 percent cost rise in comparison towards the T9 isn't any bother then Orbitsound has shipped another highly capable system that's still fairly listed.
